Frequently Asked Questions on Requisition Module

1. An employee is unable to raise a requisition

Answer: Confirm that the employee's paygrade and/or department has been selected on the requisition policy.

2. An employee cannot see a requisition on their requisition page

Answer: Confirm that the employee's paygrade and/or department has been selected on the requisition policy.

3. I can't see the expense requisitions on the requisition module

Answer: It is likely that you do not have permission to view or create expense requisitions.

Confirm with your system admin if you have the rights to view or create expense requisitions.

3. An employee cannot to take a requisition request for more than a certain amount

Answer: Confirm the following on the requisition policy;

a. The requisition amount that is allowable,

b. The requisition interval (is it monthly, annual, or at no interval), or

c. If the nature of the policy is set at accrued or prorated based on the employment start date of an employee.

4. Can an employee make a request for an advance?

Answer: Yes, once the expense requisition policy has been set up, employees can request for an advance.

5. Why is an employee required to take the exact amount allowable for a requisition?

Answer: If the requisition is not set at splittable, an employee will be required to take the exact amount allowable.

6. Can employees retire receipts on the system?

Answer: Yes, employees can reconcile/retire a request after the request has been approved and marked as paid.

7. Employee is unable to retire receipts as error message says HOD is not assigned.

Answer:

1. Confirm if the HOD is on the approval workflow

2. Confirm if the employee's department has an HOD assigned

3. Set up HOD for employee's department if response to step 2 is no. Here is a guide on how to set up Head of department.

8. How to grant the accounts team access to approve requisition requests?

Answer: Create a role on the name that has access to the requisition module and make an employee in the account team an admin. Here is a guide to assist.

9. Can admins make requisition requests on behalf of employees?

Answer: Yes. See the screenshot below.

10. Can employees rollover requisition amount? 

Answer: Yes, if the interval has been set to monthly not annually.

11. An employee is unable to raise a an overtime requisition.

Answer: Confirm that the employee's paygrade/department/unit has been selected on the requisition policy.
