RELEASE NOTE ON APPEAL PROCESS TERMINOLOGY ENHANCEMENT VERSION 1.1.1.

This release improves clarity and transparency in the disciplinary appeal process. We have updated key terminology to better reflect real-world HR practices and fixed an issue where appeal hearing details disappeared after acquittal. These changes make the appeal workflow more intuitive for admins and ensure complete visibility of all case activities for audit and compliance purposes.

Clearer Appeal Action Terminology

What's New:
The action buttons on the Appeal details page have been renamed to align with standard disciplinary terminology:
    • "Approve" is now "Proceed to Appeal Hearing" indicating the case moves forward to a formal hearing
    • "Decline" is now "Uphold Verdict" indicating the original sanction remains in effect
Why It Matters:
Before now, the terms "Approve" and "Decline" created confusion during case reviews and audits. Admins weren't always certain whether they were approving the appeal itself or approving it to move to the next stage.

This ambiguity made it harder to interpret case histories accurately, especially when preparing documentation for compliance or legal review.

With this update, the terminology now matches what actually happens in the process, making decisions clearer and case records easier to follow.
  • Available To: All Admins managing disciplinary module

Appeal Meeting Cards

What's New:
Meeting card details now remain visible on the appeal page even after an employee has been acquitted. Previously, once acquittal was recorded, the meeting information would disappear from view.

Why this Matters:
When meeting details vanished after acquittal, admins lost easy access to important hearing information like attendees, dates, venues, and decisions made.

This created gaps in the audit trail and made it difficult to review the full history of a case.

Now, all meeting details stay visible throughout the entire appeal lifecycle, giving admins complete transparency and making it easier to reference past hearings for reporting or compliance needs.
