LEAVE MANAGEMENT RELEASE NOTE FOR AUGUST 2025
The release note is on the deployment of the leave plan notifications. Leave Plan Notifications is a proactive reminder system designed to notify employees about their upcoming planned leave days.
When an employee has an approved planned leave, they will receive notifications 30 days and 21 days in advance of the start date to ensure enough time to apply for the leave during the planned period.
If they haven’t submitted a leave request for those days, this gives them the chance to take full advantage of their planned time off.
The feature is of great importance to employees as it prevents;
- Underutilization of allocated leave
- Missed planning opportunities for managers and HR
- Manual reminders from HR/admin teams
This new feature helps automate the reminder process, improving employee engagement and reducing manual work for HR.
How It Works;
- When an employee has an approved planned leave, they receive email and in-app notifications:
- 30 days before the planned leave start date
- 21 days before the planned leave start date
See screenshot of the email and in-app notifications copy received by employees;

⚠️ Important Conditions to note;
- No notification is sent if the employee doesn’t have leave days available under that leave policy.
- No notification is sent if the employee already has a Pending or Approved leave request that overlaps with the planned leave period
