How to Liquidate your loan on Breeze - New ESS

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how employees can liquidate their existing loan on Breeze through the new ESS, including how to access the loan details, initiate the liquidation process, and complete the required payment.

  1. Click on Employee Benefits on your ESS
  2. Click on my loan history on the top right to view all loans that have been accessed.
  3. Click the view button on an active loan to view details of the loan.
  4. When you see the details of the loan, click on the 'I want to liquidate my loan' button on the top right of the loan details screen to initiate a loan liquidation process.
  5. The system displays the total amount to be paid, including transaction processing fee. select the 'pay to a bank account' option and click the continue button.
  6. The system will generate an account number that payment is to be made into. Kindly make a bank transfer of the amount displayed. Once the transfer has been successfully done, please click the 'I have made the payment' button for the system to confirm the status of the transaction.
  7. Once the transaction is confirmed, the following will happen: Loan is completed and the status is updated to liquidate. An email confirming the liquidation will be sent to the user.

However, if you missed the Account Number Prompt while Liquidating your Loan and the Status Shows “Processing”, follow the steps below to rectify this

  1. Leave the page and come back after 30 minutes to restart the process by clicking on 'I want to liquidate my loan' button
  2. Take a screenshot showing the Processing status and, if available, the affected loan/reference details.
  3. If after 30 minutes you do not see the 'I want to liquidate my loan' button contact the appropriate support team and explain that:
    • You initiated loan liquidation (Including the details of the loan you intend to liquidate)
    • You missed/skipped the account-number prompt.
    • You did not complete the payment.
    • The liquidation request is still showing Processing.

Note: A “Processing” liquidation status does not confirm that your loan has been successfully liquidated, especially if you have not made the required payment. It means your liquidation request is still being processed and the loan has not yet been confirmed as fully paid.
