HRIS Release Notes – Employee Multi-Select Filter & Export Data Access Control | July/August 2026
This release note addresses the concerns on single search filter on employee list and also on exporting data access.
Employee List Multi-Select:
Filters on the Employee List page are a core tool for admins navigating large employee datasets. Previously, each filter group such as Department, Job Role, Contract Type, Status, and Location only allowed a single selection at a time.
This meant that to view employees across multiple departments or locations, an admin would need to run separate filtered searches and mentally piece the results together, making it slow and cumbersome to get a complete picture.
We've upgraded all filter groups on the Employee List page to support multi-select. Admins can now select one or more options within a filter group simultaneously.
For example, it's now possible to filter for all employees in the Customer Support, Engineering, and Finance departments across both Lagos and Abuja in a single view with no repeated searches required.
Why this matters:
- Faster, more powerful searches — admins can slice the employee list across multiple values at once without running repeated filtered searches
- More accurate results — reduces the risk of missing employees when cross-referencing across departments, locations, or other groupings
- Easy to track and manage selections — the Group Selected toggle keeps all active filter choices visible at the top, removing the need to scroll to review or undo selections
- Scales with growing organisations — as client organisations grow and become more complex, multi-select filtering makes managing large employee lists significantly more manageable
- Navigate to the Employee List Page on HRIS via Employees on Main Menu
- Click on the filters button at the top
- Click on the drop-down for a respective filter group
- Select one or more options from the drop-down [You can toggle on Group selected to surface or selected option to the top for easy management]
- Click 'Apply Filter'

Export Data Access Control:
When an admin exports the employee list, the resulting spreadsheet should only contain data that the admin has permission to view.
Previously, this was not enforced even if an admin had not been granted the "View and Edit Employee Contract and Paygrades" permission, contract information was still visible in their export.
This was a gap between what the platform's permission settings intended and what was being surfaced. We've now closed this gap.
If an admin does not have the "View and Update Contract and Paygrades" permission assigned, contract data will no longer appear in their employee export spreadsheet. Exported data now fully reflects the admin's assigned permissions.
Why this matters:
- Permissions are now fully enforced on export — what an admin cannot view on the platform, they can no longer access via a spreadsheet export either
- Reduces risk of unintended data exposure — sensitive contract information stays protected regardless of how data is accessed
