# Bank not supported during Mandate setup, how do I proceed?

## This article explains what to do when an employee’s bank is not supported during Direct Debit Mandate setup. It provides guidance on the available next steps and when to contact Support if the issue cannot be resolved.

If you receive a "Bank Not Supported" error while setting up your direct debit mandate, follow these steps

- Refresh and try again - Exit the mandate setup page, refresh your browser or app, and restart the mandate process
- Confirm the selected bank - Ensure you have selected the correct bank where your salary account is domiciled.
- Try Another Supported Bank Account - If your bank is not currently supported on the mandate platform, you can complete the mandate setup using another account from a supported bank, if available. Simply select the alternative bank and continue with the setup process.
- **Please note that our partner, Mono, currently supports mandate creation only for commercial bank accounts.**
